Privacy Policy of Catty Sudoku Game on Play Store

Privacy Policy for Catty Sudoku

Effective date: November 6, 2026

Developer: Tools Mania Apps LLC ("we", "us", "our")

App: Catty Sudoku (package com.tm.meow.sudoku.puzzle)

Contact: toolsmania3@gmail.com

Website: toolsmania3.blogspot.com

This Privacy Policy explains what information Catty Sudoku ("the App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary

  • No account, sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos or microphone.
  • Your game progress, settings and statistics are stored on your device.
  • The App is free and supported by ads. You can remove ads with an in-app purchase.
  • We use Google and third-party services for ads, crash reporting, analytics and app configuration. They may collect device and usage data as described below.
  • You can manage ad and consent choices at any time in Settings > Privacy options (where available) and in your device settings.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:

  • Game progress, current and saved puzzles, levels, streaks, coins and boosters, statistics and achievements.
  • Your settings (sound, music, vibration, pattern mode, reminder toggles, etc.).
  • Purchase state received from Google Play (for example, whether Remove Ads is active).

Uninstalling the App deletes this data. The App disables Android's automatic app backup (allowBackup=false), so this data is not restored to a new device.

2.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services

When you use the App, the services listed in Section 4 may automatically collect:

  • Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID) and, where you allow it, ad-related identifiers.
  • Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, app version, screen size, and similar technical data.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (country / region level, not precise GPS).
  • App usage events: such as screens viewed, levels started or completed, and feature use.
  • Crash and performance diagnostics: crash logs, stack traces and device state at the time of a crash.
  • Ad interaction data: ad impressions, clicks and related ad-delivery information.
  • Firebase installation identifier, used to measure and deliver the services above.

We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any account because the App has none.

2.3 Information you choose to send us

If you use Feedback in the App, it opens your own email app with a pre-addressed message. We receive only what you choose to send (your email address and message). The App itself does not collect or transmit this.

2.4 Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of purchase status from Google Play so we can unlock Remove Ads.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate and maintain the App and its features.
  • Show ads and measure ad performance, which funds the App.
  • Remember your purchases (Remove Ads) and restore them.
  • Detect and fix crashes and bugs, and improve performance and gameplay.
  • Understand how features are used so we can improve the App.
  • Adjust app behavior remotely (for example, ad frequency) using Remote Config.
  • Send optional reminders (see Section 6).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

4. Third-party services

The App integrates the following services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs its data practices.

ServicePurposePolicy
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)Show interstitial, native, rewarded, app-open and banner adspolicies.google.com/privacy
Meta Audience Network (via AdMob mediation)Ad network in the mediation stackfacebook.com/privacy/policy
Unity Ads (via AdMob mediation)Ad network in the mediation stackunity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)Collect and manage consent for ads and data use (GDPR / EEA / UK / US states)policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)Anonymous usage statisticsfirebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash reports and diagnosticsfirebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase Remote ConfigRemote app and ad configurationfirebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play BillingIn-app purchases (Remove Ads)policies.google.com/privacy

Ad networks may use the Advertising ID and device data to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure results and, where you consent, personalize ads. Google, Meta and Unity act as independent controllers/providers for their own data processing.

5. Advertising and your choices

  • Personalized vs. non-personalized ads: in regions where required (for example the EEA, UK and some US states), the App shows a consent form on first launch. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy options.
  • Reset or opt out of Advertising ID: on Android go to Settings > Privacy > Ads (path varies by device) to delete your Advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization.
  • Remove Ads: a purchase in the Shop removes interstitial, banner, native and app-open ads. Optional rewarded ads (for example, to earn a booster or revive) remain available because you choose to watch them.
  • Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com

If you decline consent where it is required, ads may still be shown but will be non-personalized, and some measurement data may be limited.

6. Notifications and reminders

The App may send local notifications, for example a daily play reminder, a streak reminder and an unfinished-Sudoku reminder. These are generated on your device; we do not send them from a server and they do not use your personal data.

On Android 13 and later the App asks for notification permission. You can turn each reminder on or off in Settings, or revoke the permission in your device settings at any time.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

  • With the service providers in Section 4, as needed for ads, analytics, crash reporting, configuration and purchases.
  • If required by law, legal process or a valid government request.
  • To protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or us.
  • In connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale of the App; in that case this Policy continues to apply unless you are notified of changes.

8. Data retention

  • On-device data is kept until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
  • Data held by third-party services (analytics, crash reports, ad data) is retained under their own policies and retention settings. Firebase Analytics retention is configured by us and is generally limited to a period of months, after which data is deleted or aggregated.
  • Emails you send us through Feedback are kept only as long as needed to respond and improve the App.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.

Because the App has no account and we cannot identify you from the data we hold, most of these requests are handled by:

  • Withdrawing or changing consent in Settings > Privacy options.
  • Resetting your Advertising ID in your device settings.
  • Uninstalling the App to remove on-device data.
  • Contacting us at toolsmania3@gmail.com for any other request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children's privacy

The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA / the age set by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at toolsmania3@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it. If a user is identified as being under the applicable age, ads are limited as required by law and Google Play policies.

11. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for network traffic. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International transfers

Our service providers (such as Google, Meta and Unity) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, they rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at the link in the App and on our Google Play listing, and the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
